THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR JUNE WAS 64.2 DEGREES WHICH WAS 4.1

DEGREES WARMER THAN THE NORMAL OF 60.1 DEGREES MAKING THIS THE 3RD

WARMEST JUNE IN STATION HISTORY. THE HIGHEST TEMPERATURE FOR THE

MONTH WAS 88 DEGREES ON THE 9TH AND 10TH. THE LOWEST TEMPERATURE WAS

37 DEGREES ON THE 1ST. NO DAILY TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE BROKEN FOR

THE MONTH.

 

JUNE 2012 WAS WETTER THAN NORMAL WITH A TOTAL OF 10.03 INCHES OF

PRECIPITATION RECORDED FOR THE MONTH. THIS WAS 5.80 INCHES ABOVE THE

NORMAL OF 4.23 INCHES MAKING THIS THE 3RD WETTEST JUNE IN RECORDED

HISTORY. THE GREATEST AMOUNT OF PRECIPITATION IN A 24 HOUR PERIOD

OCCURRED FROM THE 19TH TO THE 20TH WHEN 6.90 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION

WAS RECORDED. AT LEAST A TRACE OF PRECIPITATION WAS REPORTED ON 19

DAYS. AT LEAST 0.01 INCHES OF PRECIPITATION FELL ON 13 DAYS. AT

LEAST 0.10 INCHES FELL ON 7 DAYS. AT LEAST 0.50 INCHES OF RAIN FELL

ON 4 DAYS. AT LEAST 1.00 INCHES OF RAIN FELL ON 2 DAYS. TWO DAILY

THE GREATEST SUSTAINED WINDS OCCURRED ON THE 14TH WITH A WIND FROM

THE SOUTHEAST AT 38 MPH. A PEAK GUST OF 45 MPH FROM THE SOUTHEAST WAS

ALSO RECORDED ON THE 14TH. THERE WERE 77 HEATING DEGREE DAYS FOR

THE MONTH WHICH WAS 102 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 179. THIS BROUGHT THE

SEASONAL TOTAL TO 7636 WHICH WAS 1808 BELOW THE NORMAL OF 9444.

THERE WERE 61 COOLING DEGREE DAYS FOR THE MONTH WHICH WAS 31 ABOVE

NORMAL OF 30. THIS BROUGHT THE SEASONAL TOTAL COOLING DEGREE DAYS TO

77 WHICH IS 43 ABOVE THE NORMAL OF 34. THE HIGHEST BAROMETRIC

PRESSURE READING FOR THE MONTH WAS 30.23 INCHES REACHED ON THE 25TH

AND THE LOWEST BAROMETRIC PRESSURE READING WAS 29.38 INCHES REACHED

ON THE 18TH.

 

THE OUTLOOK FOR JULY...NORMAL HIGHS ARE IN THE MID 70S. NORMAL LOWS

FOR THE MONTH BEGIN IN THE LOWER 50S AND RISE TO THE MID 50S ON THE

31ST. NORMAL PRECIPITATION FOR JULY IS 3.85 INCHES. ABOVE NORMAL

TEMPERATURES AND NEAR NORMAL PRECIPITATION ARE FORECASTED FOR JULY.
