Summary of Warm Stretch in the Northland

It was a hot and steamy week for Northlanders. A persistant southerly wind keep dew points and humidity high as temperatures warmed into the 80s and 90s in most areas.

The last time the Duluth Airport saw a 3-day stretch of high temperatures in the 90s was August 5th-8th in 2001. July of 2006 was also a hot one with the Duluth Airport reaching 96 degrees on the 15th and 95 degrees on the 31st. Both of these dates had impressive 102 degree temperatures at the Dultuh Harbor thanks to gusty west winds.
