The winter season of 2010-2011 is underway, and we still need official Snowspotters!


Interested in Becoming a Northland Snowspotter?

We are eager to expand our Snowfall Spotter Program, a group of volunteer observers who provide timely reports on snowfall and snow depth.  This information not only helps forecasters issue more accurate forecasts and warnings; it also provides community officials with details needed to make crucial weather-related decisions.

Observers are needed across the entire Northland, but especially near the following locations:

Jacobson (Aitkin County)

Leader (Cass County)

Malmo (Aitkin County)

McGrath (Aitkin County)

Murphy City (Lake County)

Northome (Koochiching County)

Poplar (Cass County)

Squaw Lake (Itasca County)
Swatara (Aitkin County)

Togo (Itasca County)

Whyte (Lake County)

Wilkinson (Cass County)
