NOAA Weather Radio Station WXL-94 Is Off The Air

The NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio at Waterloo is off the air due to transmitter problems.  Technicians are working on the problem but a return to service time has not been determined.  The WXL-94 NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio station transmits on 162.550 MHz (Channel 7 on most radios) and serves the following 8 counties:Floyd, Butler, Grundy, Chickasaw, Bremer, Black Hawk, Fayette, and Buchanan.

Surrounding NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio site are KXI-68 at St. Ansgar which transmits at 162.450 MHz, KJY-63 at Forest City which transmits at 162.500 MHz, WNG-666 at Iowa Falls which transmits at 162.525 MHz and KXI-98 at Marshalltown which operates at 162.500 MHz.
