June 27 Preliminary Storm Summary

...CONFIRMED TORNADO IN SOUTHWEST WAYNE COUNTY...

...DAMAGE SURVEY TO BE COMPLETED ON MONDAY FOR ST. CLAIR COUNTY...


NWS SURVEY CONFIRMED A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN JUST SOUTHEAST OF CLARK
AND WILLOW ROADS. EF1 DAMAGE WITH WINDS ESTIMATED UP TO 105 MPH WERE
NOTED ALONG WALTZ ROAD AND JUST TO THE EAST. DAMAGE INCLUDED
MULTIPLE HOMES WITH ROOF DAMAGE AND TWO DESTROYED GARAGES. THE
TORNADO ENDED JUST EAST OF RUST RD. THE TOTAL PATH LENGTH WAS 1.4
MILES FROM SOUTHWEST TO NORTHEAST. THE TORNADO WAS 200 YARDS
WIDE WHERE THE EF1 DAMAGE OCCURRED.
NWS ALSO SURVEYED THE AREA IN THE VICINITY OF KARR AND JUDD RD. NO
DAMAGE WAS OBSERVED IN THIS AREA THUS A TORNADO CAN NOT BE CONFIRMED
IN THIS VICINITY.

NWS WILL CONDUCT A SURVEY ON MONDAY FOR THE ST. CLAIR COUNTY DAMAGE.
