Southeast Michigan 2014 Skywarn Training Webinar on June 9th

 

The National Weather Service (NWS) Detroit/Pontiac Office is hosting an opportunity for Skywarn Training in 2014 for the citizens of Southeast Michigan.  The training will be a WEBINAR on Monday, June 9th from 7 p.m. to 815 p.m

The training is reserved for residents of Southeast Michigan.   The training is also limited to the first 150 people that register.  Since the training is through an internet connection and conference call, families are encouraged to register once and participate from one connection/computer.   To register please e-mail Rich Pollman at...

This training will be canceled if there is a threat of severe weather on June 9th.

The Skywarn Training Class will feature topics such as weather safety, severe thunderstorms, tornadoes, what to report to the NWS, and how to report to the NWS.  The Webinar will use the Join Me internet client.  Please be sure to give yourself enough time (about 15 minutes prior to the start) to download the necessary software to participate.
