Heat Could Become Dangerous Today

The hottest day of the summer season to date is expected today.  Midland...Bay City and the Thumb region will have high temperatures in the mid 90s, while the rest of Southeast Lower Michigan will have highs reach 95 to 100 degrees.  Humidity will increase today helping to push the heat index to around 100 degrees to near 105 degrees for much of Southeast Michigan. Heat Advisories have been issued for high heat indices today as well as the cumulative effect of consecutive days of heat on Friday and Saturday.
