Seasonal Snowfall Maps Now Online!

Here are the seasonal snowfall maps for the past few winter seasons across Southeast Lower Michigan.  Using the data we collect each winter, we generated these maps to give a visual representation of how snowfall was spread across the region.  Even over a relatively small area snowfall amounts can change quite a bit.  For example, seasons where the storm track was located over the Ohio Valley, our southern counties would see higher amounts over the course of the season.  During active lake effect seasons, you may see higher amounts in the Saginaw Valley or along the Lake Huron coastline.  The numbers on the map are the actual values recorded at each site whereas the contours are estimations from that data so may not be exactly what you measured at your location.
