Flooding possible Tuesday Evening through Wednesday Morning

A series of low pressure systems will track across the region through Wednesday, with 1 to 2 inches of rain expected over much of the area. Warmer temperatures will also melt the remainder of the snowpack, adding an additional 0.75 inches of runoff.  Despite the warmer temperatures, the still frozen ground will force most of the rain to runoff instead of soaking into the ground. Due to these circumstances, there is the potential for flooding across all of southeast Michigan from Tuesday Evening through Wednesday Morning.  A briefing with watch information, event slides, and preparedness information are available at the following links:
