COOP OBSERVERS NEEDED!

COOPERATIVE OBSERVERS NEEDED!  Volunteer weather observers are needed in the following areas:  Pinconning and Blissfield...as well as in Midland County.  A Cooperative Weather Observer is a volunteer who reports temperature and/or precipitation data daily to the National Weather Service. These observations are used to help verify weather advisories and warnings...as well as our daily forecasts. Reports are taken once daily, usually in the morning.   We are also looking for a RIVER Observer for the City of Blissfield on the River Raisin.  This person would take manual river readings, mainly during high flows and flood conditions.  If interested in becoming a Cooperative Observer, contact Debra Elliott, Observation Program Leader at:  debra.elliott@noaa.gov.  For the river observer in Blissfield, contact Hydrologist Danny Costello at: danny.costello@noaa.gov.
