Accumulating Snow into Early Wednesday

Snow will continue tonight into Wednesday morning as a winter storm moves northeast through the Ohio River Valley.  Significant snow accumulations around 6 inches are likely over portions of southeast Iowa, northeast Missouri and west central Illinois, with amounts tapering off heading north with 2 to 3 inches expected along the Highway 20 corridor.  In addition, northwest winds will increase to 15 to 25 mph tonight and Wednesday morning causing some blowing and drifting snow.

Winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are in effect for much of the region through Wednesday morning.
