  • December 2014 was about 3.5 to 6 degrees above normal.
  • Precipitation totals for December 2014 were about 0.5 to 1.5 inches below normal.
  • December 2014 snowfall totals at our snowfall observing stations in Dubuque and Moline both recorded a trace of snowfall for the entire month.  This ties the least snowy record in Dubuque set in 2006 and 1939 and ranks as second least snowy December in Moline.  The record in Moline was December 1889 when there was no snowfall.
