Survey summary: A team from the National Weather Service Quad Cities Forecast Office surveyed the area around Lone Tree late this morning. No damage was found. The tornado path information is estimated from witnesses and radar. Several witnesses described a funnel that went up and down numerous times. Photo and video documentation show that a tornado did touch down at least briefly to the west and northwest of town.

EF scale: The Enhanced Fujita scale classifies tornadoes into the following categories:

EF0...weak......65 to 85 mph
EF1...weak......86 to 110 mph
EF2...strong....111 to 135 mph
EF3...strong....136 to 165 mph
