June 3rd Weather Review

 
Synopsis:

A strong storm system tracked across the Plains Tuesday night, bringing widespread severe weather to portions of eastern Nebraska, southern Iowa, and northern Missouri. Strong storms developed ahead of a stationary boundary from southern Nebraska into central Illinois and produced 50-65 mph winds across northeast Missouri. These winds downed numerous tree branches across Scotland and Clark counties in Missouri and in Hancock county in Illinois.  Very heavy rainfall was also seen with these storms with amounts over 3 inches falling in just 3 hours in northeast Missouri. Areas generally along and south of highway 34, recieved rainfall amounts over 1.5 inches by Wednesday morning.
