A strong spring storm will bring a mix of wintry precipitation to the area through Monday morning. A mix of rain, sleet and snow is expected to develop in the north this morning then spread south before changing to all snow by late this afternoon and early this evening. Snow and sleet accumulations of 3 to 5 inches will be possible north of Highway 30 with 1 to 3 inches possible to the south. In addition, gusty northeast winds of 25-35 mph, with gusts to 40 mph, will cause some blowing and drifting snow especially in east central Iowa.
