Record Cold High Temperatures Expected Today

A fall-like storm system in the upper Midwest will track to the Great Lakes region today. Cloudy skies along with occasional showers can be expected today. Northwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with occasional gusts to around 25 mph will add to the fall-like conditions. Afternoon high temperatures should range from the middle 60s north to the lower 70s south. Record cold high temperatures are in jeopardy at some locations.

Record Cold High Temperatures for August 21:

  • Dubuque:       67 set in 1990
  • Moline:          70 set in 1875
