Heavy Rainfall and flooding May 12-13 2010

Heavy rain fell overnight the night of May 12 to 13, 2010.  Much of the area received one to two inches of rainfall.  In a swath from Memphis, Missouri to Geneseo, Illinois amounts ranged from two to five inches, with some reports near 6 inches. 

Significant flooding has occurred with this rainfall.  Reports indicate that significant flash flood damage has occurred in Geneseo, Illinois, and Burlington, Iowa, along with many other areas.  Numerous flash and river flood warnings have been issued along the swath of heavy rain.
