Snowstorm is winding down

Snow is finally starting to taper off across eastern Iowa, northwest Illinois and northeast Missouri early this morning.

Snowfall totals ranging from 9 to 17 inches have been reported across the region.  Winds continue to be strong ranging from 20 - 25 MPH with gusts up to 35 MPH out of the north northwest causing wind chill values in the single digits below zero across much of the area.  Travel is not advised during the morning.  Blowing snow will continue through the morning, before winds begin to die down in the afternoon.
