Quad City International Airport Recognized as StormReady

With the extraordinary number of severe weather events this year, it is encouraging to learn about organizations and communities that have taken extra initiative to develop effective severe weather strategies. 

The Quad City International Airport is being recognized as just such a community and has been presented with formal recognition as a StormReady Community.   This is particularly timely as we approach the end of National Preparedness Month.

The National Weather Service designed StormReady to help communities, businesses, and other organizations better prepare for and mitigate the effects of extreme weather-related events. StormReady essentially sets an industry standard for severe weather preparedness and safety, and the Quad City International Airport has exceeded this standard!
