A strong cold front will push through the region this morning. Behind the front, very windy conditions will be common with sustained winds between 20 and 35 mph with occasional gusts to around 50 mph. A wind advisory will be in effect for portions of eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois beginning at 11 am and ending at 8 pm. Below is a map of forecast wind gusts for this afternoon.
