Congratulations to KCRG-TV9, Iowa's First StormReady TV Station

KCRG-TV9 in Cedar Rapids is being recognized for taking the extra initiative when it comes to severe weather safety and preparedness.  The National Weather Service recognized KCRG-TV9 as a StormReady Supporter on June 29, 2012, and on August 14th a formal ceremony was held to acknowledge this award. 

The National Weather Service designed StormReady to help communities, businesses, and other organizations better prepare for and mitigate the effects of extreme weather-related events. StormReady essentially sets an industry standard for severe weather preparedness and safety, and KCRG-TV9 has exceeded this standard!
