Fall Fire Weather Season Winding Down

With the end of November, so brings the end of the fire weather season for eastern Iowa and Northwestern Illinois. The last Fire Weather Planning Forecast Zones (product CHIFWFDVN) of the 2012 season forecast.weather.gov/product.php will be issued around 4 pm CST Friday November 30th. The spring fire weather season is slated to begin around March 1st 2013.
