Accumulating snow in Northeast Iowa Tonight

A strengthening low pressure system will track from the Plains into the Great Lakes by Monday.  Rain is expected to change to snow in northeast Iowa by this evening with moderate to locally heavy snow continuing tonight.  Accumulations of 3 to 5 inches can be expected at most locations across northeast Iowa tonight.  The snow will be the typical March heavy wet type so only minor drifting is expected as winds increase to 25 mph and temperatures drop into the mid to upper 20s.
