April 2013 Precipitation - So Far

April 2013 has been 2 to 4 times wetter than normal across the area, with some areas experiencing their wettest April on record!

  •  MOLINE:        7.21" (4.02" ABOVE NORMAL) (4th  Wettest April... 1) 1973(11.30"), 2) 1965(7.92"), 3) 1947(7.36"))
  •  CEDAR RAPIDS:  8.55" (5.87" ABOVE NORMAL) (New Record for April...previously 6.55" in 2008)
  •  BURLINGTON:    5.78" (2.49" ABOVE NORMAL) 
  •  DAVENPORT:     6.75" (3.77" ABOVE NORMAL)
  • *IOWA CITY:     8.24" (4.70" ABOVE NORMAL) (2nd Wettest April...record is 8.32" in 1965)

* Iowa City data is from Iowa City Coop Site due to a longer period of record than the airport.
