  • December 2013 was about 6 to 7 degrees below normal.
    • Cedar Rapids had its 8th coldest December since 1953.
    • Dubuque had its 9th coldest December since 1874.
    • Cedar Rapids tied its low temperature of -18 deg on Dec 24th.  This was previously set back in 1983
  • Precipitation totals for December 2013 were about a half inch to an inch below normal.
