The next in a series of slow-moving storm systems will move into the Northern Plains today, and affect the region through Friday. Significant snowfall amounts are possible with this storm, with most areas seeing a foot or more of snow by Friday night. A strong area of low pressure will move out of the central plains today then move slowly into Wisconsin by Friday. The slow movement of this storm will result in significant snowfall accumulations across the entire region. Winds will also increase Thursday night and Friday, and significant blowing and drifting snow is also possible with this system.
