Preliminary information for Tornado near Page North Dakota

Late in the afternoon of Wednesday May 30th 2007, damaging winds and a weak tornado struck near the communities of Ayr and Page, in northwest Cass County North Dakota. Based on very preliminary information the tornado has been rated as an EF1 (Enhanced Fujita Scale 1) which would indicate winds of around 90 miles per hour.

NOAAs National Weather Service Office in Grand Forks is currently reviewing the information collected by a storm damage survey team. Once the analysis is complete, a more detailed report will be released later this weekend.
