A powerful early summer storm system will move into the Dakotas on Wednesday and move eastward into Minnesota on Thursday. This has prompted NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center (SPC) to alert residents of the central and northern plains for a moderate risk of severe weather. Along with the threat for severe weather, heavy rainfall is possible across the northern plains. This will aggravate the on going flooding in the southern Red River Valley as well as the Devils Lake Basin.
Stay tuned to the latest forecasts and outlooks from your NOAA’s National Weather Service Office in Grand Forks for updated information as this storm develops.
