...HEAVY RAIN POSSIBLE FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...
An active weather pattern is forecast to unfold across the northern plains Friday through Sunday. A series of storm systems will be affecting the region late this week through the weekend. The overall pattern suggests that the storm will be very slow moving and will have the potential to produce widespread, heavy rainfall Friday through Sunday.
While it is too early to make exact predictions on rain amounts, recent rain has saturated the topsoil especially in the southern half of the red river valley. At this time it appears the most significant rains will occur in areas that recently received the most rain. This would again affect the area harvest...and could cause some area rivers to rise...perhaps to near or slightly over flood stage.
Your NOAA's National Weather Service will monitor the developing situation and issue updates as the forecast becomes clearer.
