Oct 26 Snowfall

A band of snow moved through the region on Sunday, extending from a portion of northeast North Dakota into west central Minnesota.  The snow moved into the Langdon area during the pre-dawn hours Sunday morning, and continued to move southeast through the day.  The snow was mixed with rain for a period of time near Grafton and Grand Forks which accounted for lower snowfall totals in these areas.  The snow became heavier to the south/southeast and snowfall quickly accumulated. In general, one to three inches of snow fell within the snow band. The snowfall combined with strong winds to create significantly reduced visibilities and poor travel conditions during the late morning and early afternoon hours across portions of west central Minnesota.  See snowfall map and Public Information Statement below and for amounts that areas observed.
