A narrow band of heavy snow fell January 8-9, 2009 from central North Dakota into portions of the Devils Lake Basin. While Devils Lake, Grand Forks and Fargo received only trace amounts of snow, areas to the west received up to 8 inches of snow. The graphic below shows where the heaviest snow fell.
