The first widespread snow of the season is expected over North Dakota into parts of west central and northwest Minnesota today through Thursday morning. Mixed rain and snow will continue to develop over central North Dakota this morning and expand east this afternoon reaching the Red River valley by late afternoon. Look for the mixed precipitation to change to snow tonight...especially west of the Red River. An area of 2 to 3 inches of snowfall is expected from the Devils Lake and Minot area southeast through Jamestown to Aberdeen and Watertown SD. Snow amounts will be closer to the 1 to 2 inch mark east of this line for Grand Forks and Fargo.
