Winter Weather Awareness Weeks for North Dakota and Minnesota

Hazardous Winter Weather may be just around the corner...

This year, Winter Weather Awareness Week for North Dakota is planned to run from October 31 through November 4, and from  November 7 through November 11 in Minnesota. Now is the time to prepare for the upcoming winter weather season.  Get a winter weather survival kit for your vehicle, make a plan and be informed about the weather each day.  Make sure to check the NWS Grand Forks website often to stay informed aboput winter weather events that may impact you.

Over the next several weeks, the NWS office in Grand Forks will highlight safety tips, winter weather terminology and the various products we issue to help keep you informed for the upcoming winter weather season.  Now is the time to re-familiarize yourself with winter terms and safety rules.  Prepare yourself, your family, your home and vehicles for winter today!
