After a dry and warm period over the past week, the weather pattern over the Northern Plains will begin to change by Saturday. Moisture and instability will move into the area on Saturday, and a front will become nearly stationary into next week. Several areas of low pressure will move along this boundary, and thunderstorms may become likely by Saturday afternoon into Sunday. Some storms could be strong to severe with locally heavy rain, particularly Saturday night. The threat for strong to severe storms may continue into next week with another system moving into the area on Monday.
