Heavy rain over the past 24 hours is causing significant flooding near Hallock and Pembina.  These areas received between 4-7 inches of rain from early estimates.  A confirmed report of 6.73 inches of rain was reported in the city of Pembina. This will cause river rises on the Two Rivers River near Hallock and on the Red River at Pembina.  In addition, significant overland flooding will also occur in addition to road washouts and closures possible.  Below is a radar estimate of accumulated precipitation for this heavy rain event.  Stay tuned to later statements on this flooding situation.
