Severe Weather Likely This Afternoon and Evening

Severe thunderstorms appear likely this afternoon into the evening hours.  A strong cold front will be moving through the region, and be located near the Red River Valley around mid-afternoon.  Ahead of this feature, hot and humid conditions will set the stage for severe thunderstorm development.  The potential exists for very large hail, strong wind gusts, and tornadoes.  Localized heavy rainfall will also be possible.
