Local storm reports from Saturday July 17 2010

This is a preliminary summary of severe weather that occurred Saturday afternoon and evening, July 17 2010, in the southern Red River Valley and western Minnesota Lakes country. Due to the overall good weather this weekend, many of our observers have not been available to report any damage to us. At this point we have had no reports of tornadoes Saturday afternoon or evening in the Red River or Lakes Country. We will continue to work with local law enforcement, spotters and our Media partners to verify that all severe weather related damage has been reported.

Below the tabular storm data is a graphic showing where Doppler RADAR estimates show that 6 to 8 inches of rain may have fallen in portions of northeast Otter Tail county of western Minnesota. Storm reports may be sent to the Grand Forks NWS by clicking here.
