Heavy Rain and Severe Weather Possible Today into Tonight

Thunderstorms will develop this morning in the southern Red River, then spread north and east by this evening. Heavy rain will be possible near any storms, and some areas could receive an inch of rain in a short period of time. If storms continue over one area for a prolonged period, then ponding of water and some localized flooding in urban and poorly drained areas may result.  In addition, severe weather is possible in the southern Red River Valley this afternoon and evening with large hail, damaging wind and isolated tornadoes possible.
