Very Windy and Hot on Sunday

It will turn very windy and hot Sunday in eastern North Dakota and western Minnesota. Southerly winds from 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph will be possible in eastern North Dakota. This strong winds will likely cause 3 to 5 foot waves in the northwest part of Devils Lake. The city of Minnewaukan will likely see wave action near the shoreline. It will also be very warm to hot with highs in the mid 80s over north central Minnesota to near 100 in south central and southwest North Dakota. The front will give a chance for thunderstorms Monday as it moves through, then dry weather is expected in most areas for the rest of next week.
