Thanksgiving Week Storm Threat

A stormy week is ahead for the region.   Those with travel plans should remain informed of the latest weather forecasts.

On the heels of the system which brought 2 to 6 inches of snow to central into northeast North Dakota and northern Minnesota over the weekend....another fast moving system will impact southeast North Dakota into most of northern Minnesota Monday.  This system will give 2 to 5 inches of snow for areas along and south of Baudette to Grand Forks to Cooperstown line.

Another potentially more powerful storm system will impact the area Wednesday into Thanksgiving.  Snow will spread east through the area Wednesday afternoon and continue Wednesday night into much of Thanksgiving.  Winds will increase on Thanksgiving causing blowing snow and reduced visibilities.   As this system is still several days out....exact snow amounts are still very difficult to predict.   But for those who want to travel Wednesday afternooon and night....you might consider leaving a bit early.
