Snow and Wind Expected for Holiday Travel

Holiday travel is expected to be impacted by a strong storm system.  Those with travel plans should remain informed of the latest weather forecasts.

A potentially powerful storm system may impact the area Wednesday into Thanksgiving.  Snow is expected to spread east through the area Wednesday afternoon and continue Wednesday night into much of Thanksgiving.  Winds will increase on Thanksgiving causing blowing snow and significantly reduced visibilities.   As this system is still a couple days out....exact snow amounts are still very difficult to predict.  Those who want to travel Wednesday afternooon and night may consider leaving a bit early.
