Significant snow possible Friday

An area of low pressure will track from the northern Rockies into the central plains Friday.  As it does light snow will develop Friday morning and could become heavy at times across portions of southeast North Dakota into west central Minnesota in the afternoon.  At this point the favored area for the heaviest snowfall will be along the Dakotas border area into west central Minnesota where 5 to 7 inches of snow is possible.  Lesser amounts will fall to the north and west.  The snow should wind down later Friday evening.
