High Winds Expected This Afternoon and Tonight

  Strong westerly winds from 35 to 45 mph will develop by noon in the Devils Lake Basin, then spread east through the afternoon. Winds may gust up to 60 mph at times this afternoon and evening. There may also be some blowing and drifting snow mainly in the Devils Lake Basin and the Red River Valley this evening when snow showers combine with strong winds. winds will slowly subside by Monday morning. It will remain very mild today with most areas climbing to around 40. The warm weather will persist this week before colder air and a storm system head into the Northern Plains by Friday.
