The National Weather Service Office in Grand Forks North Dakota invites you to visit the “Information of Interest to Area Growers” web page.
This page consists of weather and climate information that is of use to growers, water managers and others with an interest in how weather impacts gardens, lakes and rivers. At the present time we are producing Base 50F Growing Degree Days for select locations in eastern North Dakota and northwest Minnesota, as well as Experimental Evapotranspiration Forecasts. Other links include the latest Palmer Drought Severity index (PDSI), the Standard Precipitation Index (SPI), and soil temperatures.
