Snow Expected Today

A band of accumulating snow will move from west to east today. The heaviest snow is expected from near Devils Lake to around Grand Forks east into the Bemidji area, where 2 to 5 inches should fall. Snow may be heavy at times for the morning commute, and roads will become snow covered and slick. Snow will quickly end from west to east by midday, and northwest winds will also increase from 15 to 25 mph with gusts to around 30 mph in the Red River Valley. This may produce some blowing and drifting snow where the most snow falls in open areas.
