Accumulating Snowfall Expected Today into Tonight

Three to five inches of snow is expected to fall over northeast North Dakota and northwest Minnesota later today into tonight. The highest amounts are expected generally along a Valley City to Grand Forks to Hallock line, eastward through much of northwest Minnesota. Local snowfall totals may exceed 6 inches, but due to the relatively warm nature of this system only isolated higher amounts are expected at this time. Due to the potential of more snow in parts of the Advisory area residents need to pay close attention to updates as the system develops. As the storm track and intensity becomes better defined a warning may be needed for portions of the Valley and Lakes Region.
