A winter storm will continue to affect parts of the region today.  Snow fall totals are expected to range from 5 to 8 inches across the southern valley and adjacent areas tapering off rapidly to the north.  Less than an inch is expected across the northern valley and adjacent areas.  Gusty northeast winds will also cause areas of blowing snow in open areas. Travel will be hazardous today across the south with conditions slowly improving this afternoon.
