Severe Thunderstorms Possible Today and Tonight

Showers and thunderstorms are expected across the area this afternoon and tonight. Some storms will become severe by late afternoon in North Dakota, then move into Minnesota overnight. The main threats will be large hail, damaging winds and locally heavy rainfall. There is the chance for an isolated tornado along and south of the Interstate 94 corridor from 3 pm until 9 pm. Much colder air will filter into the region overnight, and Saturday should be cool with showers and an isolated thunderstorm.
