October 16-19th Storm Rainfall and Wind Gusts

A large and slow moving storm system brought widespread rainfall to eastern North Dakota and west central and northwestern Minnesota beginning Tuesday evening October 16th through Friday morning October 19th.  Widespread rainfall over an inch fell in nearly all areas.  Also strong winds occurred....mostly during the day Thursday October 18th....with many places in the Red River valley and eastern North Dakota seeing wind gusts over 50 mph.   Winds were considerably lighter in the far eastern part of our forecast area where winds stayed under 30 mph at Baudette...Bemidji and Wadena.
