Major Winter Storm Late Today through Monday morning

Significant snowfall and strong winds are expected Today through Monday morning.  Snow, heavy at times, will develop across southeast North Dakota early this morning, then spread northeastward across the area during the day on Sunday.  Easterly winds will increase today, resulting in blowing and drifting snow and significantly reduced visibilities.  Total snow accumulations for most areas should range from 7 to 14 inches, with localized variations in snow totals.  The most likely area for the highest snow totals are expected in the Sheyenne River Basin.

Travel will become difficult today into Monday morning.
